The wellknown mountainpasses surrounding the hotel are:

In the hotelreception you will find a folder containing a large number of cycling iteneraries in the surroundings, quite a percentage have diagrams of the various mountainpasses, beautiful pictures and also information about other sporting possibilities in the neighbourhood of the hotel; rafting, swimming, skiing, tennis etc.

The hotel in summer is an attraction in itself; bikes everywhere, pictures of the famous riders and a wall full of shirts most guests left us, with their time of Alpe d' Huez written on it!!

The hotel is also ideally situated for riding the wellknown 'La Marmotte'
The Marmotte is part of the 'Trophee de l'Oisans'; 4 races in one week, the beginning of July.
La Marmotte is known the best; a 174 km ride passing the Col de la Croix de Fer, the Telegraphe, the Galibier and finishes on the Alpe 'd Huez.
The other 3 races are; a time trial on the Alpe d'Huez, a time trial on the Alpe d'Huez but finishing in Vaujany, and a race over 148 km with again ups and downs, called the Vaujany.
If you want to book for the Marmotte, please book early; octobre, novembre!

Every year the Tour de France is passing nearby as well.
Every 2 years it is Alpe 'd Huez ( at 7 km from the hotel).
Often they visit Les 2 Alpes; the Tour will finish there one day and start in 2 Alpes the next morning.
Whenever the Tour is close, it will bring out thousands of fans; it brings a very nice and sportly atmosphere to town!!
